Part of the value of Social Media is triage and distraction management. Every time I read something I'm training myself to ask the question: is this worth Amplifying/Tweeting/blogging/adding to the wiki? If it's not, then it's toast.

Of course, this approach is not without its costs. :) But, it seems to me, there are only three choices. Ignore it, use it or feel used by it. I'm not ready to ignore it - yet.
